Round Lake Evolution FC Defeats Ethos United 3–0 in Home Victory

Evo Secures 3–0 Victory Over Ethos United

ROUND LAKE, Ill. — September 16, 2026 — Round Lake Evolution FC earned its first victory of the Fall 2026 UPSL Premier Division season with a 3–0 win over Ethos United at Round Lake High School Stadium.

After a scoreless first half, the Evo broke through with three second-half goals from Brian Murgia, Ronaldo Rojas, and Jerry Pérez to secure all three points and a clean sheet in front of the home crowd.

Murgia Breaks the Deadlock

The breakthrough arrived in the 58th minute when Brian Murgia found the back of the net following an assist from Eliam Mier, giving Round Lake a 1–0 advantage.

The Evo doubled its lead just 11 minutes later.

In the 69th minute, Ronaldo Rojas finished a play set up by captain Matthew Hong to put Round Lake ahead 2–0.

Pérez Seals the Victory

Round Lake added its third goal in the 77th minute.

After having his penalty kick saved, Jerry Pérez reacted to the rebound and converted the second opportunity to extend the Evo's lead to 3–0.

The Evo maintained its advantage through the final whistle, securing its first three points of the season while recording its first clean sheet of the Fall campaign.
